The National Weather Service in Cleveland (NWS Cle) has a 32 County Warning Area (CWA).
This 32 county CWA is broken down into six districts. These districts have their own nets in addition to each county having their own nets.

NWS Cle also utilizes what is refered to as "the Backbone". This is a **CLOSED** net (directed by NWS Cle, WX8CLE) operated on a six meter repeater curtosy of the Six Meater Amateur Radio Team (SMART).
The purpose of this net is for NWS Cle (WX8CLE) to be able to communicate with liasons from each of the six district nets.
